Hello Readers and Prospective Fellows,

 

Welcome to the FIP blog! This blog is designed to give insight for PharmD students looking at industry career paths out of pharmacy school. Here at the University of the Pacific (UoP) FIP, we are currently partnered with 5 companies (Gilead Sciences, Genentech, Day One, Flow Therapy, and VeganMed). We offer 1-2 positions in Clinical Pharmacology, Clinical Science, Clinical Operations, and Medical Affairs. As a small but intimate fellowship program, our aim is to strive for quality and preparation for the next generation of young scientists and leaders entering the pharmaceutical industry with a PharmD background.

 

While there are certainly other larger fellowship programs out there, we invest heavily on quality through exceptional mentorship, enriching training experiences, and really getting down to the essence of what it means to be a scientist in your respective functional area.

 

We will be highlighting our past and current fellows following this post. We hope this blog will serve as your immediate reference into the day and life of our fellows, about the different functional areas available for PharmD students seeking fellowship pathways, and answer common questions that we receive from prospective students. We hope that this will provide meaningful insight in your journey through pharmacy school.
